In a repeat of the finale at last year's Santos Tour Down Under, Team Sky has finished the last stage with two of its riders in first and second place, with Ben Swift saluting the crowd as victor and Greg Henderson behind him.

Sky's train, including Simon Gerrans, Michael Rogers, Mathew Hayman and Geraint Thomas, went to work in the closing kilometres of today's 90km criterium around the north of Adelaide's CBD and delivered both Swift and Henderson into pole position for the sprint.

Finale seals Series win for Team Sky

CJ takes the win

CJ takes the win

Chris Sutton sealed the NSW Grand Prix series today with a win on his home turf.

The southside local hid himself away for the majority of the race while his teammates worked hard to keep the race under control.

A succession of breaks were consistently brought back to the peleton and allowed Team Sky the opportunity to control the final lap.

A well organised lead out from teammates Gerrans, Hayman and Henderson saw Sutton well placed for the final sprint to overcome Drapac's Tom Palmer and seal the overall series victory.

Team Sky set CJ for a win

CJ Sutton had all the right words to say for his team mates after taking out the 2nd round of the NSW cycling grand prix at Parramatta Park this evening.

Praising the strength and work ethic of his teammates Simon Gerrans and Greg Henderson as well as UK Olympic Champion Ed Clancy, CJ put today's win their hands.

Round 3 continues in Gosford tomorrow with the final rounds at Coogee on Saturday and Cronulla on Sunday.
